The Delaunay Pilates Method is a form of Pilates supported by clinical evidence and research.  It is designed to be accessible for the general public and utilises the original 34 Joseph Pilates exercises.  Delaunay Pilates has a holistic, therapeutic approach which is designed to maximise function through empowerment and education.

1:1 Initial Pilates assessment & Fundamentals of Pilates

An initial 1:1 Pilates assessment is required before commencing any class (except the 4 week chair-based Pilates course).  This is to ensure suitability and to teach the fundamentals of Clinical Pilates. 

Morning Stretch & Strengthen

Mat-work classes to improve strength and flexibility.  This class is suitable for all abilities and exercises are adapted to suit the individual.  You are encouraged to work at your own pace.

Mat-work

Monday 10:30

Mat-work classes suitable for beginners and those that would like to improve their spine health, strength, flexibility, balance and reduce pain.  All exercises are adapted to suit the individual and you are encouraged to work at your own pace.  

Chair-based Pilates

Wednesday 10:30

Chair-based classes for those that find exercises on the floor difficult.  This class is suitable for anyone wanting to manage long-term health conditions and improve their spine health, strength, flexibility, balance and reduce pain.  All exercises are adapted to suit the individual and you are encouraged to work at your own pace.

These classes are quite challenging and require a good level of experience and fitness. They offer progression for those experienced in Pilates and are ready to move to a higher level of strength, control and balance.  

Class sizes are limited to 7 so pre-booking and payment in advance is essential to secure a place 

All new clients require a 1:1 assessment to ensure suitability for any Pilates class. 

 

Advanced booking required for all classes as spaces are limited.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full cost of the appointment/class-block.
